Course aim

This course is aimed at Learners who wish to pursue a career in the domestic gas installations/service industry. On successful completion the Learner can apply for registration with the Register of Gas Installer of Ireland (RGII).

Course objectives

The course will equip the learner with the knowledge, skills and competence to safely carry out domestic gas works in accordance with applicable standards, legislation and guidelines, whilst working on their own initiative or in a supervisory capacity.

  • Maintenance and repair of domestic gas appliances including the relevant paperwork and fault analysis.

Candidate requirements

  • The entry requirement for this course is a Level 6 Craft Certificate (or equivalent) in Plumbing, Pipe fitting, Electrical or Refrigeration.

Certification

  • QQI Level 6 (Pending)

15 Days (3 days per week over 5 weeks)

Cost

€1800

€1350 for Plumbers with a Level 6 National Craft or GIS certificate
